Von der Klarinette zur Schrift. Schriften prägen unser Umfeld bedeutend. Sie beeinflussen uns unbemerkt und unvermeidbar. Als ich die Schrift Flora aus den Formen einer Klarinette entwickelte, erkannte ich, wie die Formen der Klarinette mich zu einem spezifischen Schrift-Charakter führten. Ich finde die verschiedenen Faktoren, die auf eine Schrift und folglich auf den Betrachter einwirken, ein extrem spannendes Erkundungs-, sowie Experimentierfeld. Die Suche nach den richtigen Proportionen stelllte für mich eine wichtige und zugleich tolle Fleissarbeit dar. Besonders bei meiner dynamischen Schrift spielt die Proportionierung eine grosse Rolle.

From the clarinet to the font. Fonts have a significant impact on our environment. They influence us unnoticed and unavoidably. When I developed the typeface Flora from the forms of a clarinet, I realised how the forms of the clarinet led me to a specific typeface character. I find the various factors that affect a typeface and - consequently - the viewer an extremely exciting field for exploration and experimentation. For me, the search for the right proportions was an important and at the same time great piece of hard work. Proportioning plays a particularly important role in my dynamic typeface.
